Formed in Los Angeles, Big Language — comprising of lead singer Barrett Wilson, bassist Frank Caito, and drummer Matt Thompson –made their debut in 2015. Somewhere between poetry and daydream-like visions lies the essence of their unique sound. While writing and performing fully structured songs, there is always an unexpected turn or abrupt emotional mood change that keeps you engaged musically. Multitasking musicianship and live on-stage chemistry lead to a transcendentally high musical experience, entrancing audience members.
Matt and Frank’s inseparable rhythmic timing, paired with Barrett’s combination of melodic and syncopated guitar parts and soulful falsetto create a stirring revitalization of Modern Art / Psych Rock. Looking ahead, the band has been hard at work mixing and mastering their latest EP, which they are gearing up to release. It includes six songs that span a wide variety of musical influences, emotions, and lyrics about finding hope in unexpected places.
